  • Theme installation

    Hello,
    I bought the theme Manual.
    I have a message:
    The theme is broken. The parent theme is missing. Thank you to install the parent theme "Manual".
    This is the url of the site.
    Thanks for your help.

    If i am not wrong you creating child theme for the theme manual, Please rename child folder as "manual-child" and make sure style.css file has below code at the top

    HTML Code:
    /*
     Theme Name:     Manual Child Theme
     Theme URI:      http://wpsmartapps.com/
     Description:    Manual Child
     Author:         jabin Kadel
     Author URI:     http://www.jabinkadel.com
     Template:       manual
     Version:        1.1
    */

    @import url("../manual/style.css");

      Hello,
      The theme parent now installs correctly.
      I created a translation of the theme from your .po file.
      I named fr_FR.mo and .po and installs the theme language file.
      The translation is not considered.
      How to do ?
      One last question, or are you located?
      Thank you.

        You need to tell WordPress What Language to Use

        If you haven’t done so already, you’ll need to make sure your wp-config.php file matches your language files. For example, if you’re using a French translation, you’ll need to add the fr_FR.po and fr_FR.mo files to your theme folder, then set your language in wp-config.php, like this:

        PHP Code:
        define ('WPLANG''fr_FR');

        By the way, your wp-config.php file is located in the main directory where all your core WordPress files are located

          Hello,
          Before you send my support request, I added to config.php the definition of the language file. I installed on my server the files and .mo fr_FR.po. They are in: wp-content > themes > Manual > languages.
          I also installed these files renamed in manual-fr_FR.mo and po (I also tried with fr_FR.mo and .po) in: wp-content > languages > themes.
          Nothing fnctionne.
          To avoid passing for a fool, I said that I bought on Envato fifteen WordPress themes for which I did not have help to install besoinn a parent theme or language file.
          To summarize, I bought Manual there over a week. I have not yet had the opportunity to use it and it is urgent now.
          Thank you
          Didier

            As of WordPress 4.0, you need to select language from your site, Please go to "Settings -> General" scroll page down you will see "Site Language", select language "Français" from the drop down and click "Save Changes".

            NOTE: There is no needed to include define ('WPLANG', 'fr_FR'); on the wp-config.php from version 4.0

              Good evening,
              In settings > General selected language is French.
              I do not know what to do.
              I can send you access to my server and the URL of the page by email so you can check if I made a mistake?
              Thank you.

                I must say we did multiple test changing theme language to French (using both child and main theme ), each time we got success.

                Just post your query on our support center (http://support.wpsmartapps.com/) leaving your access detail we will make it work immediately.
